An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Supervisor.

We are looking for a new senior office person to join our team. This new role to help manage the workload of a busy office within a successful growing charity affiliated to National Mind.

We are looking for a confident person, with excellent organisational skills, reliable in their job role and in relaying information through to the chief executive, with a good telephone manner/ customer service and can remain calm during busy periods. Full training, guidance and support will be provided.

The Office Supervisor is required to act as the first point of contact with regards to any issues that may impact the running of the office, line management and supervision of office staff and project workers.

The post holder must have experience of an office environment and be able to demonstrate experience of developing productive working relationships, and change management.

You will be enthusiastic, empathic, caring, resilient and with a pro-active, can-do attitude. The need to be meticulously organised, able to multi-task and work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative is essential.

Hours of work: 30 hours, post may include occasional evening or weekend work.

May extend to 37hrs after probation period of 3 months.

Salary: NJC SPC Scales 17 – 20 (£12.38per hour) £23,836 pro-rata
Contract term: 12 Months Initial Fixed Term

Suicide Awareness & Prevention Coordinator

Rushden Mind is delighted to have received a donation of funding to mobilise a one-year pilot project about Suicide.

Awareness, postvention and support, three critical areas of service that form our “You Matter” Project.  A whole system approach to preventing suicide, using the “S” (suicide) word, ensuring that everyone is aware of the support available.

The service will offer awareness talks, training events and programmes; developing a pathway for postvention support and expanding our current support after suicide support groups for anyone affected by suicide.

The Suicide Awareness & Prevention Coordinator will lead on the development and implementation of community-based awareness talks, focusing primarily on 15-25 year olds.  Engaging younger people to reduce the stigma, raise awareness and promote resilience.

The post holder must have experience of delivering similar projects and developing productive working relationships with agencies and relevant organisations promoting our partnership approach. You will undertake service promotion though a range of networking, presentations and media work.

Diverse skillset that encompass a high quality skillset to deliver awareness talks and training events, to undertaking emotional support, case management and managing a complex case load of people affected by suicide.

Hours of work: Flexible over 2 or 3 days = 16 Hours a week
