Ever thought about becoming a Trustee?
Rushden Mind are looking for committed capable and compassionate people to help make a difference.
Committed – to volunteering your time to play an essential role in the long term sustainability of Rushden Mind. As a respected member of our board, you will support our passion, seek out opportunities and join the campaign to raise awareness and breakdown stigma around mental health.
Compassionate – Every year, one in four of us will experience a mental health problem. As part of the leadership team you are helping people who are facing difficulties with their mental health and supporting them on their road to recover.
Capable – Utilising transferable skills and experience, including lived experience. Responsible for making major decisions, determining strategies, organisational plans and ensuring the charity acts within the law and within its own regulations.
We are especially keen to hear from people with skills or experiences in one or more of the following:
- Mental health policy, services or practice
- Financial management
- Health and Safety/ Risk Management
- Human Resource management
- Working within diverse communities
- Voluntary work
The Board meets bi-monthly for two hours at convenient times. The meetings are welcoming, with an informal atmosphere and with guaranteed coffee and cake!
Trustees are also required to join one of the three sub-committees of the main board, and there will be opportunities to undertake additional trustee training.
