There are many different ways to get involved at Rushden Mind, either by accessing services, volunteering or becoming a member.

Accessing services

There are two routes to accessing services at Rushden Mind. You can either be referred by a professional i.e your GP or you can refer yourself.

Volunteering

Rushden Mind are always looking for committed, enthusiastic and reliable volunteers.

There are many different voluntary positions that you can apply for, such as:

  • Group assistant
  • Art tutor
  • Cleaner
  • Handyperson
  • Trustee
  • Counsellor
  • Fund raisers

Donations

Rushden Mind always welcomes donations; in fact we rely on donations to keep our services going.

Donations help us to ensure that we can continue to provide services in the area to people suffering from mental disorders or emotional distress.

Any amount, large or small, will help.

Legacies

Rushden Mind relies on donations to keep our services going, and if you could leave us a gift in your Will it would make a big difference to the hundreds of people that we help each year. Any amount, large or small, will help.

If you would like to remember Rushden Mind in your Will, you will need to include certain information.

It is important that Rushden Mind’s name, address and registered charity number are set out in full:

For the convenience of a solicitor who may be helping you draw up your Will, here are examples of suggested wording, covering two different kinds of legacy.

Legacy of all or part of net estate

I give to Rushden Mind, Phoenix House, Skinner Hill, Northants, NN10 9YE, Charity Number 1085326 (hereinafter called Rushden Mind) the residue [or % share of the residue] of my estate absolutely and I direct that (i) the proceeds may be used for the general purposes of Rushden Mind (ii) a receipt signed by a person for the time being authorised by the Trustees of Rushden Mind shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my executors.

Fixed sum legacy

I give to Rushden Mind, Phoenix House, Skinner Hill, Northants, NN10 9YE, Charity Number 1085326 (hereinafter called Rushden Mind) the sum of £______ and I direct that (i) the proceeds may be used for the general purposes of Rushden Mind (ii) a receipt signed by a person for the time being authorised by the Trustees of Rushden Mind shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my executors.
